Lukaku to make way at United for Dybala or Icardi

Manchester United have reportedly made a decision to open the door for Romelu Lukaku to leave in order to make way and release funds for the acquisition of either Paulo Dybala of Juventus or Mauro Icardi of Inter. They have already begun talks with both Serie A clubs, according to .

Lukaku arrived at Old Trafford from Everton in 2017 for £75 million, and he was seen as the man to lead United s attack on the road back towards the glory days and the heights they had reached under Sir Alex Ferguson. However, his form slumped significantly at the start of this season in accordance with that of the whole team in the latter days of Jose Mourinho, and since he took over, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has preferred young Marcus Rashford in the central striking role to the 25-year-old Belgian.

Meanwhile, both Dybala and Icardi have been linked with departure from their respective clubs with Dybala apparently unhappy with his status at Juventus following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer, and Icardi and his wife (and agent) seem to be unable to find common ground with Inter over a new deal.
